Job Description

This is a full-time position with Ochsner Clinic Foundation, working in our facilities to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining assigned areas in a clean and sanitary manner, adhering to all current Joint Commission and CMS regulations related to environmental care and cleaning requirements. They will also assist with restocking cafes and bars, special cleaning projects, and room turnovers as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain assigned area in a clean and sanitary condition
  • Ensure environmental closets and equipment are kept clean, sanitized, and organized
  • Assist with restocking of cafes and bars when necessary
  • Participate in special cleaning projects and room turnovers
  • Familiarize yourself with current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, or regulatory agency requirements that apply to your area of responsibility
Requirements
  • Able to read, write, and speak/understand verbal communication in English to follow instructions and perform daily tasks
  • No prior experience required; however, preference given to candidates with 1 year of relevant experience in operating environmental services equipment
  • Ability to work flexible schedules when needed
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to listen and take direction with minimal supervision
Education

No formal education required; however, a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred

Salary and Benefits

$45,000 per annum, plus benefits package including medical coverage, dental coverage, vision coverage, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, retirement plan, paid time off, paid holidays, and paid parental leave
