Job Summary

This position requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services using MRI technology. The successful candidate will work independently, with limited supervision, to perform a variety of technical procedures, including MRI radiological exams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the technologist will interact with patients, staff, and medical providers on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI radiological exams at a technical level, with minimal supervision.
  • Select and operate equipment as directed, ensuring proper technical factors are applied for diagnostic imaging.
  • Provide protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Process films and images, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to the file room and PAC's system.
  • Assist physicians in the administration of opaque media, practicing sterile techniques and preventing cross-contamination.
  • Delegate areas of authority in the performance of routine or special procedures, as required.
  • Participate in in-service programs, annual recertification training, and compliance training, including HIPAA training.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and graduation from an accredited Radiology program.
  • Licensed in the State of New York in Diagnostic Radiology or Nuclear Medicine.
  • ARRT Registration.
  • Basic Life Certification (BLS) from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment.
  • One year of experience in the field of radiology preferred, but not required.
