The Program

Our internship program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in a global pharmaceutical company. As a Reliability Engineer Intern, you will work closely with experienced professionals to develop workflows and standard operating procedures for the maintenance process. You will also have the chance to work with our Computerized Maintenance Management System, SAP, and Excel to analyze maintenance data and create Key Performance Indicators and trackers.

Scope of Position

The Reliability Engineer Intern will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing workflows and standard operating procedures for the maintenance process
  • Working with the team to understand and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System, SAP, and Excel
  • Creating Key Performance Indicators and trackers to present to the team and management
  • Populating the SAP Material Management system with images of spare parts in the technical warehouse
  • Implementing Reliability Excellence industry best practices and improving maintenance plans
  • Evaluating bad actor equipment and making reliability and maintenance improvements to process equipment based on data
Accountabilities

As a Reliability Engineer Intern, you will be accountable for:

  • Conducting research, gathering, and analyzing data, preparing and/or reviewing documents, reports, and/or presentations
  • Learning and supporting relevant processes, standards, and policies
  • Learning the practical application of cLEAN (LEAN) practices in a manufacturing context
  • Working with, observing, assisting, and/or collaborating with and learning from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
  • Applying and adhering to all Standard Operating Processes (SOPs), policies, and environmental, health, and safety requirements
  • Supporting and learning processes, activities, relevant standards as assigned
  • Meeting and networking with other interns
  • Participating in team meetings
  • Completing assigned trainings
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, biomedical, biochemical, or industrial systems engineering, or a related discipline
  • Have a strong academic record with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Be a conscientious self-starter with good organizational skills, project management skills, and attention to detail
  • Be able to balance multiple projects and priorities, and be able to multi-task
  • Have strong interpersonal communication and ability to collaborate with teams
  • Be able to effectively operate independently, across functional lines, and with internal customers
  • Have demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
