Star Shuttle & Charter is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motor Coach Driver to join our team. As a Motor Coach Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers on regular routes, charters, and private carriage services.
Key Responsibilities- Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect vehicles before departure to ensure they are in good working condition, checking gas, oil, and water levels.
- Route Operations: Drive vehicles over specified routes or to specified destinations according to time schedules, complying with traffic regulations.
- Passenger Assistance: Assist passengers with baggage, collect tickets or cash fares, and provide excellent customer service.
- Reporting and Communication: Report delays or accidents, and communicate with dispatch and other stakeholders as needed.
- Vehicle Parking and Loading: Park vehicles at loading areas so that passengers can board, and load and unload baggage in baggage compartments.
- Education and Experience: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED), and one to two years of related experience.
- Licenses and Certifications: Commercial driver license with P(Passenger) endorsement, and a clear driving record.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, sit, handle, reach, climb, crawl, squat, bend, lift, and push/pull within the specified frequency and weight ranges.
This job will be performed most of the time in a motor vehicle with a controlled atmosphere and moderate noise level. Occasionally, the employee will perform some outside activities.
