Role Summary
The Classroom Teacher is a key member of the school community, responsible for delivering high-quality education to students in Year 6-7. This role involves planning, preparing, and teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes, as well as engaging in critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs to students in Year 6-7
- Assess and report on student progress, providing feedback and guidance to students and parents
- Develop and implement curriculum programs, including lesson plans and assessments
- Contribute to the development of school policies and programs, and assist in the implementation of school priorities
- Participate in professional learning and development opportunities to improve teaching practice
- Supervise and support student teachers and other staff members as required
Requirements
- Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
- Qualifications and experience in teaching and/or curriculum area(s) specified for the position
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of organization and time management
