Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic Technician to join our team at Les Schwab Tire Centers. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of intermediate mechanical duties under the direction of a supervisor. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing trucks, trailers, forklifts, dollies, company passenger vehicles, and material handling equipment.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience as a mechanic and/or trade school with autos and/or demonstrated knowledge of intermediate mechanics. You will also possess a valid driver's license, willingness to acquire and maintain CDL (preferred - training provided), and demonstrated knowledge of mechanical aptitude and diagnosis skills. Additionally, you must be able to meet requirements of DOT 3.96 to sign-off on repairs and perform DOT inspections within 12 months of hire. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles and equipment.
  • Inspect and diagnose issues with engines, major components, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, heating and air conditioning, tires, body, brakes, and welding and fabrication.
  • Test drive equipment during the diagnose and repair process.
