Diesel Mechanic Job Description

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Tigard, OR.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, and tire work.
  • Diagnostics and repairs of complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers.
  • Complete detailed inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with all federal and corporate guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years experience with heavy duty and medium duty equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or relevant certifications.
  • Possess strong knowledge of computer skills, including PC, Windows, and mouse navigation.
Benefits:
  • Average salary range: $55,000 - $70,000 per year.
  • Overtime pay available.
