Patient Care Technician Specialist

About the Role
Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria.
- Communicate effectively with patients, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
- Take initiative to improve job performance and create new opportunities for growth and development.
- Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in unit/department performance improvement activities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Completion of Meridian Nursing Assistant Program or current Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
- Current Nursing Student with completed fundamentals in nursing clinical rotation or equivalent bedside nursing experience.
- Experienced or certified in phlebotomy and checking EKG, vital signs, and blood sugar preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Strong sense of accountability for improving patient lives and caregivers.
- Exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and passion for delivering high-quality care and service.
