Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting endoscopic procedures by preparing equipment, field, and managing specimens. You will also be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, reviewing medical history, positioning patients, and cleaning/shaving/numbing testing sites as appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Support endoscopic procedures by preparing equipment, field, and managing specimens.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, appropriately positioning patient, and cleaning/shaving/numbing testing sites as appropriate.
  • Interpret, describe, and report test results. Recognize recording errors and artifacts and react appropriately.
  • Monitor patient prior to, during, and after procedures and promptly report any abnormal findings in patient's condition.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and lab area.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
