Residential Clinician Position
Mental Health Association invites applications for a Part-Time Clinician to join our GRIT team. This role requires a dedicated and compassionate individual to support LGBTQ+ individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in a structured, person-centered counseling and recovery-oriented environment.

Role Summary
This position involves conducting individual therapy sessions, facilitating clinical groups, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized recovery plans. The Clinician will work closely with residents to build resilience, perseverance, and confidence, and provide input on aftercare planning to ensure successful community reintegration.

Responsibilities and Expectations
* Conduct individual therapy sessions with residents to address co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges
* Facilitate one clinical group per week, fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment
* Participate in weekly team meetings and attend the GRIT Yale Clinical Team Meeting as scheduled
* Collaborate with the GRIT treatment team to create individualized recovery plans
* Support residents in their journey toward recovery, helping them build resilience, perseverance, and confidence
* Provide input on aftercare planning to ensure successful community reintegration
* Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with program guidelines

Additional Requirements
* Experience working with LGBTQ+ populations and individuals with co-occurring disorders is highly preferred
* Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and recovery-oriented treatment approaches
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Valid Driver's license, sufficient automobile insurance, acceptable driving record, and a safe reliable vehicle during working hours

Estimated Salary Range
$55,000 - $65,000 annually
