Commercial Collections Specialist

Job Overview
This position is responsible for managing daily functions related to working client's accounts to provide a positive outcome. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, ability to multitask, and strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities
This position will involve contacting customers and customer references, processing repossessions, and reviewing and/or verifying skip trace information. The individual will be responsible for performing miscellaneous duties related to collections and administration, ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Answer, screen, and relay incoming and outgoing telephone calls in a polite and courteous manner.
- Effectively communicate in formal and informal situations, conveying thoughts clearly and sharing complete and accurate information in a professional and respectful manner.
- Check email/voicemail respond or forward communication as applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in workspace and common areas.
- Perform general office duties such as typing, operating office machines.
- Research, investigate, and understand Customer accounts using skip trace, Internet research, and other company and external resources.
- Consistently, clearly, and concisely document all interactions with Customers and Vendors in a self-explanatory manner to ensure reporting accuracy and ease of account hand-off.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate, with three to five years of work experience in commercial collections and/or customer service. The candidate will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with others, and excellent interpersonal and customer interaction skills.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. The company offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
