About the Role:
Kent is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to oversee engineering execution for various projects. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective performance of the engineering team and the successful delivery of engineering tasks. You will lead the development and implementation of execution strategies while managing budgets, schedules, and quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing technical leadership throughout project phases, from early Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) to detailed design and construction.
  • Defining project scope, preparing estimates, and developing schedules.
  • Facilitating collaboration among engineering disciplines to identify critical tasks and support project execution.
  • Promoting a positive project culture alongside the Project Manager.
  • Managing engineering schedules and ensuring alignment with project milestones.
  • Encouraging open communication regarding project challenges and resolutions.
  • Ensuring health, safety, and environmental considerations are integrated into design processes.
  • Coordinating with third-party contractors and managing interfaces among engineering disciplines.
  • Implementing change management procedures to address scope deviations and manage change orders.
  • Conducting design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Mentoring project staff and providing expert technical guidance.
  • Identifying potential issues and recommending solutions.
  • Collaborating with discipline leads to ensure adequate staffing for project commitments.
  • Recommending improvements in engineering standards to enhance quality and reduce costs.
  • Staying updated on engineering processes and industry standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 15 years in a Project Engineering Manager or Project Engineer role.
  • Experience managing mid to large-scale EPC projects.
  • Proficiency in leading FEED and detailed design phases for process facility projects.
  • Relevant experience in petrochemical or polyethylene projects is preferred.
  • P.E. license (preferably in Texas) is required.
  • Prior experience with multiple office project execution is essential.
Communication Skills:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary for effective teamwork and project coordination.
