Job Summary:

As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist at Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic-imaging procedures in our Diagnostic Imaging Department. This includes general radiography, mobile C-arm, portable x-ray exams, CT exams, Ortho Clinic, assistance in fluoroscopy, and special procedures in the Cath Lab. You will work under the direction of the department manager and department coordinator, learning and growing in your role. Your responsibilities will include referring to and complying with the routine projections list in the procedure manual, assisting physicians/radiologists when required, and performing any other duties assigned. This position may be required to float to all Diagnostic Imaging locations.

Requirements:

Education:
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, resulting in certification from the State of California as a Radiologic Technologist. Evidence of continuing education in the Science of Radiologic Technology is required.

License/Certification:
ARRT certification is required, CT Certification is preferred, and CPR Certification is required.

Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist with CT, special procedures, and pediatric experience preferred.

Skills & Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal skills, effective verbal and written skills, CQI team experience, and basic proficiency with computer systems are required. The ability to hear alarms, clients, and/or instructions, as well as the ability to see accurately from 20 inches to 20 feet, are also essential.
