Position Overview:
The WPI Sales Representative for Power Generation is tasked with maintaining the current customer portfolio while driving sales expansion. This role focuses on identifying and cultivating new business prospects within the designated market area, leveraging WPI's extensive range of power generation products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the sales and promotion of power generation solutions across various sectors within the commercial and industrial markets of the assigned region.
  • Develop competitive bids and craft proposals by assessing specific project requirements and specifications.
  • Discover and secure new market opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing support to the existing customer base.
  • Process customer orders and serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries.
  • Engage and nurture relationships with WPI's power generation suppliers.
  • Regularly update and maintain the company’s customer account database.
  • Create and implement territory sales strategies, along with sales reports, market analysis, and activity documentation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, suppliers, and other departments to generate sales leads.
  • Work closely with various WPI departments to ensure an exceptional customer sales experience.
  • Assist customers in understanding equipment functionalities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience is required.
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in customer support.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Generac Power Systems is highly desirable.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
  • Self-motivated individual with the capacity to multitask and meet deadlines.
Work Environment:
  • Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Occasional extended hours may be necessary.
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight is required.
  • This position involves office work.
