Job Responsibilities- Provide healthcare consultation, examination, and treatments to students at the State of Minnesota.
- Administer medications according to the student's medical healthcare plan and maintain the healthcare record system.
- Employ good listening skills and empathy to create a nurturing, child-friendly environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parent/guardians from diverse backgrounds.
- Exercise professional judgment and problem-solving skills to address student needs.
- Maintain confidentiality of school and health-related issues.
- Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse with no restrictions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or ability to obtain certification within the probationary period.
- Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and exercise professional judgment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of school and health-related issues.
- Basic computer skills.
- Previous experience working as an LPN in a school setting.
- Experience working with students in a residential setting.
- Experience working with high school students and students with mental health needs.
- Experience working as a team member to develop individual health plans with students.

- Successful completion of employer reference checks and criminal history check.
