Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Operations Performance Nutritionist to join our team at KBR. As a key member of our High-Performance (HP) program, you will play a critical role in providing guidance and counseling on nutritional practices to enhance recovery and optimize performance for special operations forces (SOF) personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Nutritional Guidance: Develop and implement evidence-based nutritional plans to support the performance and recovery of SOF personnel.
  • Counseling and Education: Offer individual and group counseling sessions to educate SOF personnel on performance nutrition principles and practices.
  • Program Development: Design and implement performance nutrition programs for SOF personnel in various settings, including garrison, TAD/TDY, and deployed environments.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the HP program Manager and/or Coordinator to implement new protocols and guidelines, and serve as a liaison between food service and command.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records, participate in education programs, and contribute to clinical staff quality assurance functions.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Nutrition Science or related field.
  • Certification: Registered Dietitian (RD) and Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) certifications.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Performance Dietitian with individual athletes and groups of athletes at the levels of NCAA Division I, Olympic, professional, and/or SOF Operators.
  • Skills: Fluent oral and written communication skills in English, ability to meet physical demands of training with SOF, and proficiency in using computers and software.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior Military Experience: Prior experience in the military or with special operations forces.
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist: Certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
Company Requirements
  • Compliance: Must comply with Safety, Health and Environmental plan, policies and procedures, and Quality Assurance plan, policies and procedures.
  • Attendance: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance.
  • Training: Responsible for completing all required training.
