About the Role

The Turbine Mechanic will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heavy rotating machinery used in power generation applications. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dismantle, assemble, move, and align machinery and equipment using hoists, cranes, chain falls, hand tools, power tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, micrometers, rules, squares, plumb bobs, dial indicators, and laser alignment equipment.
  • Read blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical documentation to determine proper work procedures.
  • Responsible for shipping and receiving all major pieces for T&DC, as well as shipping, receiving, inventory, and control of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Perform material and machine inspections using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, rules, calipers, protractors, and torque wrenches.
  • Perform machining and welding operations for making various parts for lab and shop training equipment.
  • Determine equipment specifications and prepare parts lists for purchasing, consisting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic devices as needed to complete assigned projects.
  • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies, and perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishments.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one (1) year's experience maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial service equipment, including various pumps, motors, fans, generators, and turbines.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Preferred: Degree/Associate Degree in Technical Field or Gas Turbine Systems.
  • Willing to work 12 hours on Day or Night Shift.
  • 100% travel is required.
