Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Construction Project Superintendent to oversee and manage the execution of various construction projects. The Superintendent will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient completion of projects, remaining onsite throughout the duration of each project. This position involves the implementation of project plans and close coordination with the project team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in civil construction, utilities, infrastructure, or similar fields. The Superintendent must demonstrate strong capabilities in preparing detailed technical reports, managing site costs, and overseeing multiple subcontracts and vendors effectively. Excellent mediation skills are essential for maintaining positive relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onsite management and execution of project plans in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Scheduling and overseeing all construction phases
  • Leading regular safety and project health meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparing daily reports in collaboration with the Project Manager and Safety Officer
  • Reviewing and processing project-related submissions
  • Participating actively in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with onsite personnel
  • Coordinating effectively with subcontractors on site

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in construction, preferably with Federal or DOD projects
  • OSHA 30 Certification

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong communication skills with both internal teams and external clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
  • Experience in construction management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Federal government or DOD construction projects
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Current security clearance
  • Estimating experience, including familiarity with RS Means
