Join the Air Force Civilian Service as a Police Officer

Are you a motivated and dedicated individual looking for a challenging career in law enforcement? The Air Force Civilian Service is seeking civilian professionals to fill the role of Police Officer in our 377th Security Forces Squadron at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico.

Job Duties
  • Perform law enforcement work to maintain law and order, preserve the peace, protect life and civil rights, detect crimes, arrest or apprehend violators, and perform patrols within the assigned jurisdictions.
  • Conduct investigations of crimes and complaints covering a wide range of subjects and allegations.
  • Serve as the primary command and control function for all Integrated Defense forces.
  • Act as the initial on-scene commander for significant and catastrophic events.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Subject to both pre-employment and random drug testing
  • Incumbent must qualify and remain qualified in the use of required weapons
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary and required security clearance
  • Must undergo initial job compatibility assessment
  • Must pass an initial pre-employment medical examination, periodic medical examinations, meet established hearing standards and discern colors, contrast, and depth, and required initial and annual Department of the Air Force Civilian Police (DACP) Physical Agility Test
