American AgCredit is a leading financial institution supporting the agricultural industry. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Summer Intern in Agricultural Finance. This 10-week internship program provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the loan sales and origination process, working closely with various departments, including underwriting, lending, appraisal, loan operations, accounting, and others.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in a comprehensive credit training program to develop a deep understanding of the lending process and the 5 Cs of credit.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to originate new loans and service existing loan portfolios.
• Attend customer visits and community events to gain insights into the agricultural industry.
• Complete a project that provides value to the organization, showcasing your skills and expertise.
Requirements:
• Pursuing a four-year degree or enrolled in a graduate program, with a major emphasis in agriculture, data/analytics, technology, finance, business administration, or equivalent.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to travel and work in an office or outdoor setting, with the capacity to sit, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
