Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Snowflake, SharePoint, Tableau, and other Business Intelligence tools is essential. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in analyzing and interpreting complex data to devise solutions that enhance decision-making and operational effectiveness.

In the early phases of this role, the Analyst will be tasked with working with data from various sources to achieve reporting objectives. This data may vary in quality and completeness, originating from systems such as Electronic Health Records (EHRs), enrollment platforms, and operational applications. As the Enterprise Data Platform evolves and more data is integrated, the Analyst will utilize their skills to create datasets and analyses based on objects in Snowflake. Comfort in navigating a developing landscape and applying data skills to address questions amid imperfect systems is vital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop reports and data visualizations utilizing Tableau Server.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports and data extracts in response to user inquiries.
  • Conduct gap analyses of current data extraction processes.
  • Identify and propose solutions for data pipeline process deficiencies.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all extracts and reports.
  • Engage professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create reports for the Office of Strategy Management and other departments as needed.
  • Assist in the ongoing development of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Collection Tools and Reports.
  • Translate business requirements to developers and collaborate on implementing solutions for the business community.
  • Communicate progress and any obstacles to users and management.
  • Organize and prioritize workload while working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Contribute to team projects and participate in meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Manage requests from a diverse range of business users.
  • Comprehend business requirements and regulatory needs, along with their implications for technology.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and code in line with best practices and agency policies.
  • Deliver accurate results consistently, even under pressure.
  • Evaluate requests, gather business requirements, and creatively devise solutions.
  • Enhance and innovate processes that meet user needs.
  • Produce standard and ad-hoc reports using various tools and data sources.
  • Conduct advanced data mining efficiently and accurately as required.
  • Generate business and system documentation adhering to EOHHS standards.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience with SQL, Python, R, Snowflake, SharePoint, Tableau, and other Business Intelligence tools is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a programming or development role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
