The Residential Lead Staff will play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of the residential program at Chrysalis. This position will assist the Residential Manager in providing direct services to individuals, ensuring their medical and recreational needs are met, and following the direction of the Residential Manager in required tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Health and Wellness: Maintain individuals' health and well-being by providing transportation to medical and other appointments.
- Person-Centered Planning: Assist in developing, implementing, and reporting on Person Center Plans to ensure individuals' needs are met.
- Behavioral Support: Oversee Behavior Plans and Supervision Guidelines to ensure they are followed, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
- Nutrition and Meal Planning: Plan weekly menus for proper nutrition, ensuring individuals receive balanced and healthy meals.
- Financial Literacy: Assist individuals in making informed purchasing decisions at the grocery store and teach basic finance skills.
- Household Management: Maintain all house supplies in stock, ensuring a clean and comfortable living environment.
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in the disability field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated supervisory skills and ability to prioritize work
- Ability to complete program documentation accurately and within time frames
- Good judgment and crisis management skills
- Flexibility to accommodate client office needs
- Ability to manage personnel and program issues
- Experience working with handicapped individuals
- Knowledge of person-centered plans and ability to develop effective goals
- Understanding of DSPD policies
- Good general writing skills and ability to articulate oneself on various issues
- Ability to manage personnel issues and deal with staff in a positive manner
- Computer skills
- Good public relations skills in working with various employers
- Multitasking and prioritization skills
