The Group Leader will work closely with participants to create a supportive and safe environment, facilitating engaging activities and promoting social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and facilitate activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants, staff, and families, promoting cultural inclusiveness and respect.

  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

  • Collaborate with program staff to design and implement engaging activities, incorporating elements of literacy, STEM, and the creative arts.

  • Adhere to program procedures and safety protocols, reporting incidents and concerns to supervisors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.

  • 1 year experience working with youth in a school or camp setting.

  • Ability to lead and participate in group sports and recreation.

  • Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.

  • Availability to work part-time hours on school days and full-time hours on non-school days.
