We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to provide support to primary care providers in a variety of healthcare settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing patient-oriented procedures, communicating effectively with patients and healthcare team members, and performing administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient-oriented procedures under the clinical direction of a provider or valid authorization by a provider's order.
- Provide support to the Primary Care Team for daily clinic operations.
- Communicate effectively with patients and members of the PCT and other healthcare team members.
- Perform administrative duties, including addressing the ongoing needs of patients and promoting the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of healthcare resources.
- Possession of a valid certificate from an agency approved by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California to practice as a Medical Assistant.
- Active certification status prior to appointment into the classification.
Travel is required.
Special Requirements- The position requires a Medical Assistant Certificate. You will be required to provide a copy of your certificate prior to being hired.
Please note that possession of minimum qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If you are meeting minimum qualifications with education, you must include your unofficial transcripts/diploma for verification. Official transcripts may be required upon appointment.
