Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Workstation PC Technician to join our team at Rose International. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support and maintenance for our Microsoft-based network and desktop systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain a robust Microsoft-based network running Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, etc.
  • Provide basic desktop and networking support knowledge on Windows Operating systems, OS error conditions, IPConfig Command, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group policy.
  • Perform PC desktop, laptop, and tablet expertise to execute duties of this position.
  • Collaborate with IT representatives to receive assets, move equipment, stage equipment for build/image activity, and interview clients as part of pre-deployment asset discovery.
  • Execute against the deployment plan, execute equipment replacement activity, update asset management system, report and monitor daily activity, install and maintain PC hardware and software, troubleshoot network usage and computer peripherals, perform data transfer and recovery, resolve network communication problems independently, and prepare assets for disposition.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with PC support, including deployment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with PC hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Well-versed in installing Windows, software, and applications.
  • Minimum 1-year experience with direct client interaction and proven customer service.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Adaptable to change in process or required activities.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
  • Quick learner.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality results.
  • Professional appearance and behavior, including punctuality.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing assets.
  • Prepare systems for deployment.
  • Scan existing assets for applications and settings.
  • Interview clients to identify special considerations and other settings.
  • Use client tools to execute PC activity.
  • Collaborate with teammates to identify process improvements.
  • Escalate quickly when issues arise.
  • Assist other technicians as needed.
  • Extensive experience in profile management and data transfer.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
  • Known for working efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Committed to learning and relating technical concepts promptly.

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting: The maximum amount that someone may lift is 50 lbs (requires 2 people), and the average amount that someone may lift is 20 lbs.
  • Frequency of lifting: As needed at least once a week.

Equipment Transportation:

  • Maximum value of equipment that someone may be asked to carry in their personal vehicle: 2 to 3 systems total value approximately.
  • Frequency of equipment transportation: Anytime a technician is doing a remote refresh, he/she will carry said equipment in car, this could be daily.
  • Average distance that equipment may be transported in personal vehicle: Most site average distance is 20 miles.

Driving:

  • Will Workstation PC Technician contingent workers be asked to drive a Client vehicle for any purpose? Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.
