Position: Stress Testing Registered Nurse
Overview
The Stress Testing RN is responsible for overseeing Cardiac Exercise Tests, which include Echocardiography, Pharmacological Stress Echocardiography, Exercise Stress Testing, and Stress Radionuclide Cardiac Imaging, all conducted under the direct supervision of a physician. This role entails recording and assessing professional nursing care for patients in the Nuclear Imaging and Cardiology Department, catering to individuals from 18 years to geriatrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient flow effectively
- Conduct patient assessments
- Supervise exercise tests and cardiac imaging procedures
- Organize tasks for optimal efficiency
- Perform procedures with precision and ensure equipment safety
- Document procedures and routinely inspect equipment
- Assist in delivering superior care for patients undergoing cardiac testing
- Encourage education and competency among colleagues
- Foster a safe working environment
- Support both inpatient and outpatient care settings
- Willingness to travel to various locations as needed
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Current RN licensure in Florida
- At least 1 year of Critical Care experience with advanced EKG interpretation skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required
- Strong leadership and critical thinking abilities
- Intermediate proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
