Role Summary:
The Virtual Acute Care RN is tasked with delivering consultative nursing services through our centralized virtual health network. This role is essential in supporting patients situated in acute care or inpatient units, collaborating closely with on-site healthcare teams to achieve clinical objectives and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and respond to requests from bedside nursing staff, providing timely recommendations in collaboration with on-site healthcare providers.
- Collect and analyze patient care data to develop and adjust nursing care plans based on assessments conducted by bedside RNs.
- Work alongside primary RNs and healthcare providers to ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of care orders, advocating for comprehensive nursing actions.
- Implement necessary patient interventions for routine, urgent, and emergent situations, evaluating outcomes to ensure optimal care.
- Document all care provided and patient status accurately, adhering to established standards and protocols.
- Educate bedside clinical staff on patient care processes, sharing insights and findings to enhance overall care delivery.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A degree from an accredited nursing program and a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.
- Preferred experience in critical care or as a Charge/Resource RN.
- A current Registered Nurse license issued by the appropriate state board.
- Current BLS certification and specialty certification relevant to the nursing field is preferred.
