About the RoleWe are seeking a Department Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and supervising housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff at a single site. You will lead teams to complete light housekeeper, heavy housekeeper, and laundry aide duties on varying shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise staff to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Lead staff training, quality control, and in-servicing
- Coordinate and ensure timely completion of project and program work
- Maintain income and expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment records
- Act as liaison between building occupants or administrators and HCSG staff
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Two years' experience in Environmental Services in a healthcare environment and personnel supervision desired
- Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously
