Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture blood products and samples, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Process blood units received from donors, including scanning, separating into transfusable components, and leukoreduction.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and meet production goals while managing workload effectively.
  • Utilize computer programs for data entry, component production, labeling, and inventory management.
  • Conduct visual inspections and make informed decisions based on departmental information.
  • Engage positively with internal customers, vendors, and volunteers.
  • Be flexible to work a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational needs.

Standard Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 1st shift; Tuesday-Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm.

Training: Initial training period of 4-6 weeks during regular daytime hours.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate with additional pay for Saturday shifts.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail with accurate documentation practices.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively or independently.

Physical Requirements:
This role requires standing, stretching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. You may also work in cold storage environments and wear protective gear as necessary.
