We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Safety Engineer to support our government customer in Indian Head, Maryland. This role is part of a new, 5-year federal award for complete facility renovations in a complex, lab and industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in hazard analysis of manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with applicable industrial requirements.
- Review and update design drawings to ensure safety standards are met.
- Conduct hazard assessments and quantitative risk assessments to identify potential safety risks.
- Review and analyze process start-up documentation to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- 5+ years of experience in chemical safety ensuring operations comply with applicable industrial requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
