Patient Care Technician

At MLK Community Healthcare, we are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team on the 3rd floor. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the work of our Registered Nurses.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to patient call signals and provide physical support to assist patients with daily living activities.
- Review patients' dietary restrictions and preferences to ensure they receive the appropriate diet.
- Measure and record food and liquid intake, as well as urinary and fecal output.
- Document observations of patient behavior, complaints, or physical symptoms.
- Remind patients to take medications or nutritional supplements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least six months of experience in a hospital, clinic, or SNF/Home Health setting as a nurse assistant, care partner, medical assistant, or student nurse.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must complete annual Workplace Violence Prevention Program/Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current California State Nurse Assistant certification.
- A solid understanding of human anatomy, basic medical terminology, and rehabilitation principles.
