Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Speech-Language Assistant to join our team at Springfield Public Schools - MA. As a Speech-Language Assistant, you will work under the direction and clinical supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech-language services to students with individualized education programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Speech-Language Pathologist supervisor to develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support students' speech-language goals and objectives.
  • Provide screening and assessment services to identify students with suspected speech-language disabilities.
  • Track progress and collect data on students receiving speech-language services.
  • Maintain accurate records and inventory of speech-language intervention materials.
  • Log therapy services and provide progress reports in collaboration with the Speech-Language Pathologist.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • State License as a Speech-Language Assistant through the Commonwealth of MA.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
