Host Position Summary
This role is an opportunity to act as a brand ambassador for bridging cultures through food. As a Host, you will take our patrons on a culinary adventure through education, quality customer service, and making sure they have a positive experience at our restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests in a timely, friendly, and professional manner, ensuring a positive start to their dining experience.
- Strategically seat parties to manage the flow of the restaurant, balancing walk-in customers, delivery, and phone orders as necessary.
- Educate, interact, and connect with guests through the food, ingredients, and culture, providing a memorable experience.
- Set the ambiance of the dining room, including music, lights, and cleanliness, to create an enjoyable atmosphere.
- Be personable, always greet patrons, engage with a positive attitude, and make an effort to remember regulars.
- Work collaboratively with the team to foster a healthy and warm atmosphere, addressing customer service issues promptly and referring customers to management when necessary.
- Support and assist with bussing and resetting tables, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
Qualifications:
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- At least 6 months of experience as a Host or in a similar role in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to acquire a California Food Handler's, Sexual Harassment Certification, and Responsible Beverage Service Certification before or within 2 weeks of hiring.
- Bilingual is a plus.
