We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Registered Nurse on our Med Surg: IU 3 Orthopedics unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Use the nursing process to assess patient needs, plan and implement individualized interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care.
- Anticipate and recognize significant changes in patient condition, status, and need for care, and take appropriate actions when changes occur.
- Implement strategies to reduce patient risk and increase patient safety, and assess patient and family readiness to learn and individualize the approach as necessary.
- Actively coordinate the discharge plan utilizing an interdisciplinary approach, and apply evidence-based practice to deliver patient care.
- Provide ongoing evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes, and take appropriate action when changes are needed.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing.
