Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team as a team leader in our patient care model. As a key member of our multi-faceted treatment team, you will work closely with our collaborating physician to provide exceptional care to our patients.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Nurse Practitioner in this role, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting medication management sessions with patients
- Conducting patient psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Creating patient treatment plans and managing updates
- Performing patient and family education
- Participating in team and unit meetings
- Creating discharge plans
- Participating in the established call schedule
- Completing all charting and documentation within 24 hours
- Serving as an attending provider for assigned units
- Round on patients as required
- Providing medication education to nursing staff
- Participating in inservice treatment team meetings as needed
- Meeting patient productivity standards
- Completing all coding and documentation standards in compliance with organizational expectations
- Attending Medical Staff meetings and Medical Staff Executive Committee meetings
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Wisconsin
- Board-eligible or board-certified as a Nurse Practitioner
- Graduate of an accredited college or university
- Successful completion of required practical training in psychiatry
- Two or more years of experience working as a provider in a licensed hospital or clinic
- Leadership and/or supervisory experience in a behavioral health organization
- Experience with process improvement implementation
