Solar Project Manager Job Description

SOLV Energy is a leading engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and solar services provider for utility solar, high voltage substation and energy storage markets across North America.

Job Summary:

The Senior or General Superintendent will be responsible for supervising the project, ensuring successful project completion, and managing direct reports in all field areas and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all superintendent job responsibilities
  • Manage direct reports and subcontractors
  • Enforce safety procedures and participate in Safety Training Program
  • Develop relationships with Owner and Architect
  • Recruit, organize, train, supervise and coordinate field construction team
  • Ensure work quality and set standards for quality control
  • Order materials and tools
  • Prepare necessary reports
  • Oversee punch list progress and ensure on-time completion
  • Review all drawings, specifications, and subcontractor submittals
  • Chair or attend pre-job conference and regular subcontractor meetings
  • Oversee start-up testing and turnover to Owner
  • Supervise multiple projects over a large geographic area as required
  • Plan and communicate required support
  • Manual labor may be required in rare circumstances
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years supervising large scale solar PV sites
  • Knowledge of OSHA laws
  • Knowledge of job scheduling, planning, expediting and cost control
  • Strong problem-solving and sense of urgency
Benefits:

Compensation Range: $150,000.00 - $195,000.00
