Role OverviewWe're seeking a seasoned Fire Protection Engineer with experience in designing fire alarm and suppression systems to lead our fire protection discipline on multiple concurrent projects. As a Senior Fire Protection Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading design efforts, serving as the engineer of record, and supporting proposal and business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Lead design teams to develop construction-ready drawing packages with inter-discipline coordination.
- Design fire alarm and suppression systems for commercial, industrial, and municipal/government projects.
- Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys, data collection, and collaboration with clients' team members.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, building codes, and safety standards, including NFPA and international standards.
- Fluency in design and modeling software, including AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM360, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software.
- BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or NICET Level 3 or 4 certification.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in fire protection and/or fire alarm design, including prescriptive, performance-based design, and fully detailed design.
- Ability to produce fire alarm design drawings, including device layouts, installation details, and risers based on applicable code requirements.
- PE registration.
- Experience designing for United States federal agencies, such as USACE, NAVFAC, USDOE, and experience with design of telecommunications, CCTV, access control, or desire to learn.

The salary range for this position is $97,600 - $168,360.
