Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant I to join our team at UNC Medical Center. As a Nursing Assistant I, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures.
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care, including vital sign measurement, specimen collection, and personal care.
  • Document patient information and report significant changes in patient condition to registered nurses or physicians.
  • Assist patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
  • Provide care and treatments as outlined in the plan of care, including wound care, range of motion exercises, and patient education.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Six (6) months of relevant nursing assistant experience.
Work Environment

This is a Per Diem position requiring the ability to work a minimum of 12 hours every 2 weeks, with rotating shifts and weekend and holiday rotation.
