ROLE SUMMARY: The primary duties of the Compressed Air Systems Technician involve the analysis, maintenance, and repair of pneumatic systems, including compressors, blowers, dryers, and associated piping. This role requires effective and positive interaction with all customers of Dakota Fluid Power.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the DFP Sales and Service team to deliver diagnostic, maintenance, repair, and technical support for electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic applications.
  • Conduct analysis of compressed air systems and recommend enhancements.
  • Perform servicing and repairs on both on-road and off-road equipment, as well as fluid power and industrial compressed air systems.
  • Familiarize oneself with supplier and DFP documentation and procedures to maintain accurate repair records for all service activities.
  • Adhere to Dakota Fluid Power's safety protocols in all actions and communications as outlined in our safety handbook.
  • Assist in providing product and technical training for DFP customers and staff regarding compressed air products.
  • Participate in required training programs on products, factory-sponsored sales/service training, and safety training provided by DFP.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to customer inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Work alongside sales to fulfill customer expectations, including joint visits, while aligning with corporate objectives.
  • Contribute to achieving productivity and sales targets.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of standard products to effectively respond to initial sales inquiries.
  • Communicate with the service manager regarding tools, equipment, and inventory needs.
  • Be available for overtime, travel, and occasional on-call shifts.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multitask and manage various projects simultaneously.
  • Ensure a clean work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Foster a friendly and positive team atmosphere.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by Senior Management.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, and installing compressed air and pneumatic systems; Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics; Strong motivation to stay updated on the latest compressed air technologies; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Proven ability to multitask and work under pressure; Exceptional customer service skills; High integrity and ethical standards; Strong communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal); Proficient computer skills for record-keeping; Clean driving record; Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly; Capable of full-range motion with arms and legs; Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling; Ability to exert push and pull forces.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 Annually, Depending on Experience
