Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including general, vascular, and cardiac studies. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong understanding of sonographic principles and techniques.
Responsibilities:- Operate ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic procedures, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
- Review patient medical records to obtain necessary clinical information and compare requisitions to physician orders.
- Position patients and select proper transducers and technical factors for accurate ultrasound procedures.
- Ensure safety, mental, and physical comfort of patients during procedures.
- Accurately identify and label images, including patient name, medical record unit number, and location or position of scan.
- Maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
- Communicate findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) within 3 months.
- Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) within 3 months.
- Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) within 3 months.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
- Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Sonography.
The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
