We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular, and cardiac procedures/studies.
Key Responsibilities:- Competently operate ultrasound equipment to perform procedures/studies.
- Accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
- Review patient medical records to obtain necessary clinical information.
- Position patients and select proper transducers and technical factors for accurate ultrasound procedures.
- Ensure safety, mental, and physical comfort of patients.
- Analyze sonograms and communicate findings to physicians.
- Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS).
- Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS).
- Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Sonography.
- No experience required.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, and twist throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
- Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force.
