Survey Party Chief

As a Survey Party Chief at Synerfac, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of land surveyors to successfully deliver projects on time and on budget. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals and utilize your expertise in land surveying to drive business growth.

• Lead a team of land surveyors to collect data and conduct surveys in accordance with industry and client specifications, scopes of work, and work plans.
• Operate and maintain all field equipment, including total stations, GPS rovers, data collectors, and other surveying instruments.
• Take detailed field notes and photographs to ensure accurate data collection.
• Provide mentorship and training to less experienced field staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
• Collaborate with CAD operators, project managers, and designers to provide technical survey assistance and ensure seamless project delivery.
• Perform mathematical calculations, read and understand plans, and complete other duties as assigned.
• Assist with the daily preparation for fieldwork, data input and management, research, and deed plotting in the office.
• Travel to project sites and client offices as required.

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of land survey experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a party chief (crew chief/survey lead).
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD, Civil 3D preferred.
• Self-motivated, proactive with good interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of surveying instruments and equipment, their use and care.
• Knowledge of QGIS or other GIS platforms a plus.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Knowledgeable in the effective practices, methods, and techniques of land surveying.
• Strong math skills.
• Ability to carry survey-specific equipment (up to 50 pounds) and work outdoors on uneven terrain.
