Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Provide a high level of customer service and support to clients
    • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the proper department or person
    • Perform paying and receiving functions for clients, including cashing checks, taking deposits, withdrawals, and other payments
    • Assist clients with opening new accounts and their current account needs
    • Ensure that assigned cash balances are kept secure at all times
  • Retain/Expand/Attract (REA)
    • Support the overall REA effort and achieve team partnership results based on annual targets
    • Assist in the successful achievement of goals set for the branch and bank
    • Have a thorough understanding of the various products and services offered by the bank and effectively communicate their value to clients
  • Other
    • Assess emerging issues and potential liabilities
    • Provide support in the compliance function as needed
    • Assist in the support of other bank activities as required

Requirements

  • Education
    • High school degree or equivalent
  • Experience
    • 1-2 years of experience in a community bank or customer service environment
  • Skills
    • Dexterity to count money
    • Knowledge and expertise in multiple software packages, primarily focused in the Microsoft Office Suite
    • Numerical aptitude
    • Ability to maintain confidential information
