Inside Sales Business Development Intern

H.B. Fuller is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Business Development Intern to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business contacts, facilities, and adhesive applications.

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence via phone and identify and gain access to decision makers. You will be responsible for consistently executing on a regular and agreed-upon call cycle with potential customers, adding value by applying sales skills to the conversation to identify the needs of the customers and meet those needs with H.B. Fuller products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a robust pipeline of potential H.B. Fuller customers to secure new business
  • Record all customer conversations in our Customer Relationship Management software
  • Meet targeted levels of customer meetings (telephone meetings)
  • Ensure all potential customers view H.B. Fuller as a partner by providing professional sales representation and excellent service
  • Influence and gain alignment with both external and internal key decision makers and influencers at all levels of an organization
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program with 1 or 2 years completed in a sales, business management, chemistry, chemical engineering, or marketing field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver effective presentations through electronic mediums
  • Ability to influence via phone, identify and gain access to decision makers, develop deep business knowledge
  • Strong computer competency with high MS Office suite proficiency, database experience, and other internet-based software
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

  • Advanced consultative sales skills
