Our focus includes conducting thorough analyses, strategic planning, and creating tools that support decision-making, alongside training and exercises aimed at enhancing the safety and security of our nation’s residents, visitors, environment, infrastructure, economy, and cyberspace.
We seek to fulfill project and corporate requirements through various means, including (1) the collection, processing, validation, and analysis of relevant data for further application, (2) executing technical assistance tasks such as organizing meetings and seminars, and (3) aiding in the proposal development process by gathering and structuring resumes, past performance documentation, and corporate capabilities. You will serve as the primary data collector and provide substantial contributions to CNA studies and proposals, encompassing project planning, coordination, report preparation, and quality assessments.
CNA promotes an inclusive environment that appreciates diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Our adaptable and engaging workplace encourages innovative collaboration throughout the problem-solving process. We are in search of imaginative and resourceful individuals to help advance our mission.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Utilize standard research methodologies to collect, process, and analyze data. Employ relevant database software to efficiently organize and present data, generating insightful reports. Demonstrate proficiency at an intermediate level with Microsoft Office and other standard CNA software tools to fulfill primary responsibilities. Structure project tasks such as literature reviews, environmental assessments, and interviews, and take ownership of drafting corresponding report sections.
2. Acquire a foundational understanding of the missions and organizational framework of the division or team’s key clients/sponsors. Build institutional knowledge of at least one primary client/sponsor and identify key figures within their organization, understanding their significance to CNA.
3. Engage in project team meetings and assist in preparing for client/sponsor interactions. Identify points of contact for projects and maintain awareness of significant communications between the project team and client/sponsor representatives.
4. Develop sufficient expertise on specific tasks, issues, or data to positively influence project outcomes.
5. Gain basic knowledge about CNA, its structure, key personnel, and relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs), including an understanding of the business environment. Familiarize yourself with the project development process and become fluent in CNA's business practices and SOPs.
6. Exhibit the ability to communicate information clearly and accurately in both oral and written formats. Present and summarize data effectively, drafting sections of reports, briefings, or other project deliverables in accordance with established requirements and scholarly standards.
7. Work more autonomously on focused, well-defined project components, estimating the time and resources required for these tasks while working under close supervision on broader project strands. Track personal project expenditures and begin to understand project budgeting and financial monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Maintain a positive demeanor in interactions with colleagues, clients/sponsors, and staff. Take accountability for your actions and outcomes, proactively seeking ways to enhance processes and operations.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education: A Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 2 years of experience in a designated technical skill (research, programming, foreign languages, event planning, etc.), or a Master’s degree.

3. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; database management; strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; robust critical thinking and organizational abilities; familiarity with research techniques.
Note: Candidates are encouraged to include a personal statement with their application to share their goals and interests, which will enhance their application without being a criterion for elimination.
