Job Summary

Kemp Quarries is a leading producer of construction aggregates, primarily crushed stone, sand, and gravel. Our mission is to provide high-quality materials that meet the needs of our customers while ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Maintain crushing equipment to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Operate and maintain company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Repair and maintain industrial machinery, including conveying systems, production machinery, screens, motors, and crushers.
  • Contribute to a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures and regulations.
  • Provide emergency repairs and perform scheduled maintenance during production.
  • Perform mechanical skills, including welding, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
  • Utilize hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform duties.
Requirements
  • Three years of experience with heavy equipment and/or rock crushing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and apply common sense understanding to instructions.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in completing work and strive for timely completion.
  • Treat others with respect and consideration.
  • Must maintain a safe driving record and have a valid driver's license. CDL beneficial.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, or balance.
  • Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental and weather-related conditions.
  • Regularly exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals; occasionally exposed to electrical shock and vibration.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds minimum and up to 75 pounds.
