About the Job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized ICU Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating clinical and department activities in the ICU, ensuring that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with quality standards. You will act as liaison between physicians and the patient care team, maintaining communication and promoting cooperation with unit staff and other departments. You will also supervise the staff, authorize work procedures, and assign duties. Additionally, you will provide input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring, and performance management of associates.

Responsibilities

This role involves several key responsibilities, including:
1. Coordinating clinical and department activities in the ICU
2. Acting as liaison between physicians and the patient care team
3. Maintaining communication and promoting cooperation with unit staff and other departments
4. Supervising the staff, authorizing work procedures, and assigning duties
5. Providing input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring, and performance management of associates

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least one year of experience as an ICU Registered Nurse. You must possess nursing skills and knowledge base specific to the specialty, as well as a nursing diploma or associate degree in nursing. A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred, and you must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. You will also need to hold a current state nursing license and BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Apart from these requirements, you will need to obtain ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC or TCAR certifications within six months of hire or transfer.
