Patient Financial Representative

As a Patient Financial Representative at Lee Health, you will play a critical role in assisting customers with inquiries in a high-volume call setting while providing an exceptional customer experience and complaint resolution. Your expertise in insurance processing, both at a claim and guarantor level, will enable you to offer credit counseling to resolve self-pay balances, make monthly payment agreements, and post payments while exploring various discount opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist customers with inquiries and resolve complaints in a timely and professional manner
Provide credit counseling to resolve self-pay balances and make monthly payment agreements
Process accounts for bad debt placement or legal collection action
Evaluate medical debt to determine financial need and assist with Medicaid enrollment, financial assistance, or other state and federal programs
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
1 year of experience in finance or healthcare preferred
Data entry skills, general computer skills, typing of 15 wpm, customer service skills, communication, spelling, and interpersonal skills required
Ability to operate office equipment (phone, fax, copier)
