Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform a variety of tasks related to vehicle maintenance and repair. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our shop, as well as providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Pull customer vehicles in and out of the shop in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform oil/lube services, maintenance lamp resets, and gather necessary repair information.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, accurately measure and record findings, and report results on the repair order.
- Replace tires and repair services, work with and reset TPMS systems, and replace wipers and light bulbs.
- Operate automotive lift equipment safely and efficiently.
- Clean, stock, and maintain the work area to ensure a safe and organized environment.
- Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas.
- Perform wheel alignment services and maintain a safe working environment.
- Protect company assets and maintain regular attendance in accordance with assigned schedule.
- Ability to perform physical requirements as listed in job description.
- Other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum Education: High School
- Minimum Job-Specific Experience: 1-2 years
- Management Experience: N/A
- MUST have a valid driver's license
- Other Job-Specific Licenses or Certifications Required: Tire Industry Association ATS certification, ASE certifications, vendor-provided training
- Tire & Automotive Industry: Mastery of all major automotive emissions, engine management, and electrical systems.
- Mechanical: Knowledge of automotive vehicles and tools, including their repair and maintenance.
- Customer Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Repairing: Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
- Troubleshooting: Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
- Tools & Technology: Ability to operate phone systems for effective communication of information to interested parties.
- Cognitive: Problem sensitivity, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, service orientation, and active listening.
- Communication: Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
