About the Role

The Safety Coordinator is a critical member of the Columbia Forest Products team, responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the safety and health programs at our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of the business
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and protocols
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety principles and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
